Thursday Meetings

Scouts generally meet on Thursday evenings between 19:00 and 21:00 at the Scout hall. Our programme is accesible to registered members or via OSM. If you are interested in enrolling your child and would like more information, please contact us. We will then arrange a temporary login to our website where you can view our weekly programme and our membership information pack. We can also arrange for you and your child to pop along to a scout meeting and see what we get up to!

The Scout troop gets involved with a number of local, district and county events. Details of which can be seen on our events page – this is just a taster of what we get up to throughout the year. The Scouts often volunteer our services to help at these events, and we use the time there to show off what we do and to raise money from donations which go towards supporting the troop’s expenses.

Any of the Scouts, or leaders would be happy to talk to you if you see us at any of these events. Come and say hi!

Be Prepared!

The Scout motto – Be Prepared means just that! As part of a Scout troop you will be expected to carry out a number of activities and there may be a few things that are worth getting together to ensure your time at Scouts is as enjoyable as it can be. Some of the items here are often provided by us, but it is always a good idea to have your own kit as you can then practice whenever you like! The following bits and pieces are recommended by us:

  • Compass
  • Good, waterproof clothing
  • Strong & sturdy walking boots (wellies are not recommended for most events)
  • Sleeping bag & sleeping mat
